    Years gone nuts

Not sure if I'm alone in this but I noticed quite a few releases ago that I seemed to have Years in my library that didn't make any sense. Using mp3tag I've trawled my entire audio library looking for any years that match the crazy numbers below and came up empty. Now that I've been reminded again I thought I'd post about it and see whether anyone else has/ is experiencing this. Currently running 7.4.1, but had same experience on 7.x.

    Years in ascending order
    584
    1948
    1949
1952 <-- first actual album (Frank Sinatra - In the Wee Small Hours)
    <snip>
2009 <-- last actual album (Ben Harper - White Lies for Dark Times)

    2218
    2335
    2674
    3130
    4878
    8138
    8378
    8510
    8710
    9930

All of the years prior and after show 0 albums with 0 songs by 0 artists when selected. So, does anyone else get these kind of results? What gives?
Linux finally gets a great audio tagger: puddletag - now packaged in most Linux distributions.

I used to see that all the time... I traced it back to some very odd tags in some files (multiple TYER, I think? No clue how they got there since I use a variety of tools to tag.

There were also some funky tags that had full dates in them, been a while, so I don't remember which tags those were and how related it was.

But, yeah, I used to see it all the time. For the moment, I'm not seeing it at all.

I can't remember how I tracked down which files were problems.

    Senility sucks.

Thx, I'll take a closer look at the tags.
