    Where to buy a duet?

Did anyone here buy from ZAsale.com? Is this a reputable vendor?

Don't know about zasale.com, but have considered buying from xeusa.com:
    http://www.xeusa.com/Logitech-Squeez...g930000033.htm
    Currently $309.99.
Anyone had any experience with them?

Buy an iPhone/ iPod Touch and iPeng instead. The Duet is a disaster.

At best that's only half good advice. What is the person supposed to control with the iPhone / iPod Touch + iPeng? As the name implies, the Duet has two parts. Duet = 1 SB Controller + 1 SB Receiver.

Did you mean an iPhone/iPod Touch + iPeng + SBR?

Fwiw it's worth, my 3 SBCs generally work fine, and I've had no problems with my 2 SBRs. That said, based on postings here I'm also willing to believe the iThing + iPeng may be a better solution than the SBC for controlling Squeezeboxes.

Point taken, I did leave out the player -- my oversight. Stay away from the SBR and get a Classic or wait for the Touch. If it's a portable player you're after the Boom is fantastic value for money.

Stay away from the SBR? Seems a bit extreme, I had a Boom and a perfectly good AV Receiver in my front room. A quick shift of the boom into the kitchen and spend UK 90 Sterling and I've a perfectly good SBR working in the front room. I control it via laptop, or with slimcontrol / handheld skin on my smartphone, or I just leave it set to sync with the boom from the kitchen and start it playing from the boom. Multi-room / zone audio for 90 quid ? It's a no brainer to me. There is nothing wrong with the SBR !!
    What am I listening to?

Boom, Receiver, iPhone iPeng & Squeezepad

yip, the problems usually start when you try to use the device(s)
Linux finally gets a great audio tagger: puddletag - now packaged in most Linux distributions.
