I've rarely been accused of being normal, expecially when it comes to my musical tastes :-). But seriously, you are right - we certainly aren't representative of the general listening population.
yeah, there are a lot of gaping holes in the catalogs, which surprised me when I played around with Rhapsody when it was first available on the SB. I wasn't aware that some services purge their offerings - that really sucks.
Regarding the 80/20 I referred to - the 80% is doable just like climbing Mt. Everest is doable; certainly not easy, but doable. When compared to the effort for the remaining 20%, that could be compared to starting a colony on Mars. You could do it in theory, but is there the drive and will to do it? Now, no, not really.
