Custom Scan - itunes import

Hi -

I am trying to import my data from itunes (play count in particular so that it will help with dynamic playlists) but I can't get it to work.

On the settings tab, it says 'Running' - but has been for a long, long time (1 week?!)

I previously ran this plugin fine, but for some reason (an update to the server software?) the data was lost.

I am also struggling to get itunes update to work so wonder if there is a linked problem?

My itunes music files are all on an external disc but the library file is in the default place.

Any help really appreciated. Thanks

Do you see any errors in the server.log ?
If not, could you try to enable the debug level logging on plugin.trackstat in Settings/Advanced/Logging and see what it outputs in the server.log ?

I am afraid I don't know what that means

It means it's parsing the iTunes XML file but it feels strange if it takes a week. Do you see any other messages or errors in the server.log file ?

It was the term 'parsing' that I didn't understand!

There was just a whole page of that line. I'm now out for a few hours but will check when I get back and see if there are other messages.

Yes, try setting the logging level to "info" and see if you see something else, that should turn of the parsing messages.

How does your configuration for the iTunes Statistics Import module look like ?

How large is your iTunes Library Music xml file ?

The XML file is 8.3MB

box 2 empty
box 3 70

xml path completed
next 2 empty

ignore ticked
album ratings empty

Did you change the log level of plugin.trackstat ?
If not, try to do that and see if you see any other log messages in the log. The problem att the moment is that the parsing messages are too many so you might not notice any log messages that indicates the real problem.

How does the "iTunes Library XML file" parameter value look like ?
Does it contain the full path including the filename or just the directory ? (It should contain the full path including the filename)
