Attention, all you do is on your own risk.
Here a explanation on how you can use your own Backgrounds for the Radio.
First make some pictures, size 320x240 pix.
Save it with the following extension and name:
like: bb_your name.png
Now on the radio activate the SSH.
You get a IP and a password, write it down.
Now use something like WINSCP.
Then go to:
usr/share/jive/applets
Open the folder Setupwallpaper.
Copy your Backgrounds in this directory.
Close WINSCP.
Disconnect the Radio form the mains, and plug it in again.
The Radio reboots.
Now go to Display - Backgrounds and choose your own.
Here are some Backgrounds I made.
Have Fun.

or use "customise controller" plug-in
or simply use the web-ui to SBS and add the "customise controller" plug-in.
then, still within web-ui, you can use Advanced/Customise Controller and browse to your wallpapers
This works with controller and radio on 7.4.1 and looks configured to work with Touch.
not sure what impact MySB.com has on this.
I think that the plug-in name is not obvious for Radio owners that didn't previously do this on a controller!!!

The customise controller plugin only works for the controller. The only way to get wallpapers to the radio (that I know of) is to SSH in and transfer them.
I'd be very glad if one wallpaper plugin worked for all three screens (Controller, radio & Touch) although I'm not too sure how this would work, bearing in mind the screen dimensions (and proportions) are different.

I used the customize controller last night
it works perfectly on the radio.
I used the SBS, found the plugin on the plugin tab, clicked settings all the way to the right, it brought me to a screen asking for the wallpaper name and then a file/url address, with directions as to what the propr size is for each device, the directions included the proper size for the radio, selected apply, a preview of the wallpaper now appeared. went to the radio and the last wallpaper on the lsit was the one I just added on the SBS.

"Customise Controller" is intended to work for all devices not just the controller and should have been renamed. I definately changed it so I suspect what has happened is that the old description strings have been reused. (Edit: looking at it some of the string have been updated but not the title...)
It does check for the correct screensize of the image and should show them on the settings page next to any image you give it telling you which types of player will be able to use the image. Note that to get the images onto the player/controller you need to have them attached to the SBS not mysqueezebox.com and then go to the settings, screen, wallpaper page.
So what is intended to happen:
- install SBS on your computer
- go to the settings, advanced, "customise controller" page on the web interface of SBS
- add links to your new wallpapers (should work just adding a link to images on this page into the URL box) and press apply
- if the image is read correctly it will show up on the page and will have an indication next to which player it will work with
- then connect your player to the server (by browining into my music to verify that it is connected to SBS)
- go to the settings, screen, wallpaper page and the additional wallpapers should appear in the list you can select fromLast edited by Triode; 2009-11-08 at 05:02.

I've changed the English name of the plugin to "Customise Device" which should show up in future versions of SBS including 7.4/7.5 nightlies. (Non English versions will take a while to change)

I'm lost as to how it knows whether you are uploading a wallpaper for a controller or a particulr player. Does it just recognise the size of the wallpaper or go by the name you give it (in which case would it be better tio use a drop down selection of named connected players/controllers?)?
