It's possible to have a refer link to learn how to update it?
    Really thanks in advance!
The files you need are here, you need to find out whether your need oldarm or eabi. Try eabi version first maybe?

I needed oldarm for my 207+. So I would try that one first

How do I upgrade to 7.7.2 on Diskstation?

Hi, I've just installed SSODS4.14 on my DS209 (arm CPU), and installed SqueezeboxServer 7.6.1 successfully. I've abandoned the package provided by Synology, as the last one had a problem with faad.

I'm impressed with the setup and very happy with it, but I wonder if it is possible to upgrade to the latest 7.7.2 version.

    Any help appreciated, thanks

Be careful, upgrade is buggy, i will fix it in the next version (coming whenever a new LMS version needs a newer perl package).

Best way for upgrade is making an backup of prefs directory, delete LMS, install new LMS, restore prefs directory.

    SSODS on LS-GL

Problem loading page.pdfHi - I'm using SSODS to install Squeezecenter on a Buffalo Linkstation Pro. I'm at the stage where I have loaded my ip address:9909 in my browser and have downloaded the current version of squeeze center (now called Logitech Media Centre) to my PC hard drive. When I try to upload the file I get the message
The connection was reset when the page was loading.
I attach a screenshot of the error message as a PDF.

I've managed to copy the file, logitechmediaserver-7.7.2.tgz, into /tmp but the SSOXX page still does not see it.

I also tried using tar on this file but I get the message

tar: This does not look like a tar archive
    tar: Skipping to next header
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors

I'm out of ideas now. Any help from some of you clever people would be greatly appreciated.

PS My PC has Windows 7 with the firewall turned off and the browser Firefox.

I have been struggling with SSODS on my Linkstation which has a armv5tejl processor. I installed your version of SSODS and downloaded the latest version of Squeezecenter which is logitechmediaserver-7.7.2.tgz. However when I try load it from the web interface I get message
    The connection was reset
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
I don't which directory to upload it manually to so I'm stuck.
I used the Diskstation instructions when installing SSODS. I normally used a Windows 7 64-bit PC but have tried it from Ubuntu but it's the same.

    Thanks a bunch

The problem turned out to be that the /tmp directory was on /tmps and had limited space. A few minutes on a Linux forum elicited the command that increased that space and I manually copied the tar ball over and thereafter the installation proceeded without problem.
Hopefully others may learn from my problems.

I have an old Diskstation (DS508), so I'm limited to using SSODS 4.9.1, and Squeezebox Server v7.5.2 - r31632.

Anyone have any views on whether now is a good time to just migrate over to the equivalent Synology Package e.g. so that I can use more recent versions of Squeezebox Server?

    Thanks.

I did not have to much problem to install 7.7.1 on my old DS207+. I haven't bothered to update to newer version, because I am running mostly from DS212+ these days.
On the other hand it seems that Synology is more closely following the new releases than the did before.

Debian Wheezy on ARM: error while loading shared libraries

I have recently upgraded my ARM-based Dreamplug to Debian Wheezy, and now I get this error when starting SSODS: /opt/ssods4/bin/bash: error while loading shared libraries: unexpected PLT reloc type 0x90

I have installed the latest mod of the eabi version 4.14mod and it has been running successfully for months.

    uname -a shows this: Linux dreamplug 3.0.4 #1 PREEMPT Tue Aug 30 19:56:02 MDT 2011 armv5tel GNU/Linux

    Any good advice?
