    Hi All;
    FlipFlip just informed me that he does not have this old hardware anymore and thus can not compile it for us anymore (since he did the compiling on the DS'es, as far as I understand.)
    :-(
    Either we get from FlipFlip an Idiot's guide on how to do a compilation, or we find someone knowledgable w/ an old DS, who can do it for us.

    Ideas?
    Comments?
    Feedback?

    As far as I remember you have to compile SSODS on a DS because of the processor architecture (otherwise you would have to setup a cross-compiling environment).

    If someone can provide more or less detailed information on how to compile SSODS I would try it on my DS107+ - my music archive currently is hosted on a Windows Home Server, so my DS is hunting for a job. IMHO the goal should be to get Squeezeserver 7.6.2 running on the DS - LMS 7.7 may be a bit too big for our little devices.

    Yeah, it is ARM-based, Synology 111+... that's why. OK will have to wait then.

    Hi Carp;
    I agree - we should focus on 7.6.2.

    Other than that:

    Hi FlipFlip:
    Any chance on providing "more or less detailed information on how to compile SSODS on a DS107+"?

    The Buffalo LinkStation devices mentioned in this post http://forums.slimdevices.com/showpo...&postcount=697 are ARM-based, and are working well with SSODS 4.14 and SBS 7.6.2.

    I'm already running a 7.6.2 on my Arm-based Qnap Turbostation 219. But what i want is to run the new LMS 7.7 on it! But I think thats not possible at the moment.

    See my signature for my config. It works OK, until I enable the automatic scanning (Advanced settings, Performance). With scanning enabled, the box eventually becomes quite unresponsive, and the player starts to buffer. I'm going to disable scanning again and restart to see if that makes things stable.

    If scanning is the problem, then that's not the end of the world, but it would be nice to have working.

    Hi guys,

    i took 4.9.1 and updated every outdated perl-package to the required one to run 7.6.2.

    Here is the link: ssods-4.9.1mod-oldarm.tar.gz

    7.6.2 is up and running on my Synology DS407.

    For everyone who wants to run LMS 7.7 here is SSODS 4.14mod, which includes the packages ready for LMS 7.7: ssods-4.14mod.tar.gz.

    Feel free to make mirrors.
