    BBC iplayer silent on SB3

I'm running SC Version: 7.3.3 on Windows XP with 2 SB3 classics. It's all been working fine for a couple of years and I happily run Alien BBC v2.6b1-7.3

I decided to try installing the iPlayer plugin v0.9d as advised by BPA. It installed happily, and the menus are available - when I select an item to play I get no sound. This happens with both Live and Listen Again. I tried Radio 1, Radio 2, and Radio 3 - same result.

    I'm outside of the UK

any suggestions as to what may be the issue?

What server os? Have you tried changing the plugin settings to disable FlashAAC? (on the advanced settings page for BBCiPlayer)

    Server is Win/XP
I just tried disabling AAC - made no difference
Also disable MP3 and tried WMA - same result

Outside of the UK - for Listen Again there is no MP3 only AAC so do NOT disable AAC.

WMA is only available for live streams - again because you are outside of the UK I would advise to test using the Radiofeeds menu or the Internet Radio/More Radio/BBC.

If you are running a very clean XP with no MS apps installed it is possible there are some libraries missing for faad which is used for AAC.

As a test can you play the following AACplus stream through the WebUI "Tune-in"

Tune in example loads and displays program information, but still produces no sound.
I am currently successfully loading and playing Alien BBC Live WMA feeds as well as the \Internet Radio\BBC feeds work fine.

No sound probably means you need the additional libraries (these libabriues are included in 7.4)

The libraries can be installed using the download found here
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

Regarding WMA via iPlayer - they used to work but recently some BBC feeds via iPlayer have been dodgy. I personally prefer using the WMA URLs directly from Radiofeeds rather than using iPlayer which has UK/non-UK selection which omits links sometimes.

Installed 7.4 and the iPlayer roars loudly! ;-)
    Thanks for the help

Of course what 7.4 didn't say was that it would remove all my 3rd party add-ons!

Same problem but with NAS (linux)

I live in London and have been running BBC iPlayer fine using this plugin installed using extension down loader on a Synology DS107+ NAS. This uses their own Linux installation. I have a SB Duet.

Some time in the last couple of weeks play-it-again stopped working. I have installed extension down loader iPlayer plugin v0.9d, but can find no "Settings" for it that I can change, so cannot see where I could change the codec to MP3 from AAC/Flash.

Currently the graphics on the Controller and web interface appear to show "play it again" programs streaming, but there is no sound.

Is it possible to decode AAC on my NAS, or am I restricted to MP3?
If it is MP3 only, how do I change the Codec it uses?

I am missing iPlayer so any tips on getting it to work would be appreciated!

Bingo! Thanks for that, did not notice it now has its own settings page.
