If not will it ever be finalized? I'm just curious, given a choice of staying with 7.3 for a while which is the best choice between 7.3.3 and 7.3.4?

No, because 7.4.0 has been released. But you should run 7.3.4 if you
want to stay on 7.3.x.

The last word is that 7.3.4 is not and will not be an official release.
That said, concider 7.3.4 of RC (Release Candidate) quality. If you want to use SC 7.3.x, then 7.3.4 is the one you would use.
There's not much difference between 7.3.3 and 7.3.4.
- If I recall correctly, a few folders were moved with the release of 7.3.3, and if you installed this on top of a previous installation of SC some items either were not cleaned up correctly or moved correctly causing an error message regarding Perl. 7.3.4 resolved that issue.
- Some users were experiencing DNS issues with 7.3.3 ("Cannot resolve IP Address for SqueezeNetwork"), which 7.3.4 resolved for some of these users.
- There are probably other fixes, which I cannot remember...Squeezebox Controller (fw r6038) + Squeezebox Receiver (fw 62) + 1TB fileserver, Windows XP SP3, running SqueezeCenter 7.3.4
Download SC 7.3.4 from here: http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=7.3

Thanks for the clarification. I saw the build number or some other qualifier on the readynas build and wanted to make sure I was getting the most stable version.

SC 7.3.4 doesn't seem to be available in the "nightly" folder anymore. Try here: http://downloads.slimdevices.com/SqueezeCenter_v7.3.4/
