I found a wonderful workaround for my purposes: if I rename subfolders with a "." before the name (unix style for hidden directories), the directory is no more detected by squeezecommander (or by SBS?) and so I get the play mode just the way I wanted. I think I will do that for all my cover artwork subfolders.
I also noticed that play mode is not activated if a .CUE file is present in the directory. Is this a wanted behaviour, maybe to avoid playing the songs twice? Is it possible for squeezecommander to use just CUE files as playlist, if present? I see that it's the behaviour if I play the songs by long tapping the parent folder and then tapping "play" in the contextual menu. It would be great if such a feature is available also in play mode.

Actually it does not work sometimes on WiFi also. If connection is not so good and stable.
It stopped the downloads and remove the files without any notification.
Please check possibility to improve this feature. As minimum some timeout parameters and
warning dialogs should be added. Thank you.

Hi,
Just got my first Android phone and was delighted to discover SqueezeCommander. Immediately set about transferring my favourite music to my phone by downloading playlists through SC. Two questions; any chance you can transfer the actual playlist? Might be a challenge, particularly as the transferred file doesn't always end up in the same relative location in the file system or even the same file type (noticed with interest that .m4a files come across as .mp4). Second question; if I update a playlist then download it again all the tracks are downloaded - perhaps you could only transfer new or changed tracks?
Thanks for the great software.

Good idea!
I've created two tickets in the tracker.
Add yourself to the CC if you like to be notified once these features are implemented.

Here's another wish ...
If the volume is set to "locked at 100%" then the volume control at the bottom of the now-playing screen is a bit useless. I would like to have the option to replace the volume control with the progress bar.

In the next version, the volume control will be hidden in this case.
I'm not sure if replacing the Volume slider with the Progress slider makes sense, because that would be pretty confusing for the users.
(E.g. if you have some players with fixed volume and some without, then your Progress slider is either on top or on bottom of the page, depending on the selected player.)
But the last state of the Overlay (with shuffle/repeat/progress slider) is stored now, i.e. if you've opened the Overlay, it will stay open until you close it.
Even if you restart SqueezeCommander.

If you go this way (which I'd be perfectly fine with, as far as I'm concerned), you'd better provide an option to get the volume slider back, so that people out there using some plugins that *rely* on the (dummy) volume control events sent by the player to control their DAC or amplifier's volume, don't get it bad.
