Just wondering if anyone has a pic of what the optional battery will look like, preferably including the size and how it attaches?
Thanks,
Tom

I don't have a picture handy, but the battery is made of 10 AA-sized cells, wrapped together, with short cable coming off of it.
The battery installs behind a door on the bottom of the unit, so once installed, it's not visible.

Thanks Dean - that's great news as I had assumed it attached to the outside (such as sitting beneath the base) somehow. Once installed in the unit is it automatically charged when attached to the mains? Or does the battery have to be removed to be charged? Appreciate that it might seem a silly question, but I wanted to be sure.

Yes, it's automatically charged when the mains adaptor is connected.

Thanks for the link - that's helpful.
It also raises an interesting point... I hadn't realised it was being packaged with a remote. I don't really need a remote as I already have tons of them placed strategically around home. As the battery will 'wear', presumably it will be possible to just buy a battery without getting another remote every time?
