    Question Radio wi-fi reception?

I have my Radio next to my Boom at the moment - I mean their cases are virtually touching.

Boom reads 68% wi-fi strength, Radio is 28% (PB1 unit)
Seems to work fine though - no stuttering. I'm hitting it with a 24/192 file (via SOX) at the moment.
    Odd.
You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it ain't what you'd call minimal...

Does re-orienting the Radio make any difference? Does taking the Boom away make any difference?

    I'll try...
hmmm - moving the radio 2 feet from the Boom makes the signal leap to 50%!

Sorry - I meant the RADIO leapt to 50%

slightly surprising but not a real issue I guess...

At one point during testing we found that the Radio was reporting SNR whilst others were reporting strength as a % (even though the radio was labelling it %, it wasn't). Might still be the case, which would explain the lower numbers.

I think Radio's WiFi chipset reports signal % little differently than Boom's chipset.
At the same location my Boom = 84% while my Radio = 68%

Probably not, but some conversion of SNR to percentage needs to take place and I imagine the scale is somewhat arbitrary.

A better place to gauge the relative strengths of the two signals might be on the wifi access point, if it displays such things.
