Unhappy "Don't include unchecked songs" doesn't work

    Hello
I'm using Squeezebox Server on a Windows PC that serves a duet and a boom.

"My Music" consists of iTunes files. I have iTunes enabled within the Squeezebox Server settings with the option "Don't include unchecked songs". I have two versions of each song and wish Squeezebox server to only serve the checked aif files while ignoring the unchecked aac files (which are used only for my iPod).

Unfortunately Squeezebox serves both the checked aif and the unchecked aac versions. The same thing happens whether using an XP or a Windows 7 RC computer (tested at different times).

Is there anything else I have to do to have only the checked aif files served to my Squeezeboxes?

    Hope you can help.
    Thanks, Webbie

I'm not sure, but does your my music folder have any other files, other than the itunes ones? If not, try removing the folder as your Library location (leave it blank). It will still import just your itunes songs as long as you have the itunes XML file listed.
If you do have other files you want imported, outside of itunes, then see if you can point the library location to just those, keeping itunes out of that folder?

I was going to ask the same question. I have some albums in iTunes in both Apple Lossless and 256K formats. I use a smart playlist to ensure that only the low quality version gets sync'd to my iPod, but want to use the ALAC version with the Squeezebox.

As it stands, both versions get imported.

It would be useful to have some more flexibility than just "ticked songs" to govern what is imported from iTunes into the Media Server (but having the "ticked songs only" option working would be better than nothing).
