SBS 7.4 and problems loading modules

I understand your position.

I have a symlink to 7.3.3, squeezecenter works but if
I change the symlink to 7.4.0, squeezeboxserver fails.

So it looks as the database is running. Do you have a different DB format, should I clean the old DB? Any changes you can think of?



Your locale was detected as C, you may have problems with non-Latin filenames. Consider changing your LANG variable to the correct locale, i.e. en_US.utf8

Well, if I do delete my configuration directory, SBS 7.4 does start, but I have to reconfigure. But...

How do I start configuration? All I get is some "Sign in" screen, but I don't know how to sign in, where to sign in and why? The server has no internet connection so it would not be possible anyway.

Any hint how to solve this?

Ok, I did find a skip button at the bottom of the screen...


But after stopping and re-starting the server, I have the previous error (Can't connect to MySQL server on '127.0.0.1') so I guess, I have to debug the server and check what's going on :-(

Well, the problem is somewhere in the playlist handling. If I comment out the playlist loading (slimserver.pl +799 and +828), I can start the server, but it crashes as soon as I want to scan my music library.


I guess this is not a job for half an hour.
