Different screen colour combinations

While I like the new UI in the 7.4 betas I would really like more alternatives to the dark on dark colour options which are difficult to read in lighter rooms - particularly difficult to see where the focus is on the screen. Can we see a couple of light (white?) backgrounds with dark text (hate to say it but like the plain ipod interface) as a real alternative?

through the customize controller plug in. they do seem darker than under 7.3 but now happier. Is there any way to cange the font color (I know changing font size has been requested)?
