I'm using the default interface of Squeezecenter 7.4 and it seems to me half of the screen is wasted when playing a playlist. It just sits there unchanging. What I want is for the left hand panel in Squeezecenter to display a large cover jpg and customizable track info that changes as the track changes. A kind of "Now Playing" feature.
Does anyone know of a tweak of the settings or a plugin to achieve this?
I'd really like to know.

Better Web Interface?

What browser are you using?
There is an issue with IE where it refuses to let you move the devider between the two panels. I'm using a current 7.4 beta build and the right pane in IE is just wide enough for the artwork graphic and "http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/listen/live/r6.asx", but I think in previous releases it just split the screen in two.
Opera and Firefox (and I think everything else) let you move the devider to wherever you want and the remembers the change in a cookie.

Thanks - I tried using Firefox and yes, the center partition is moveable, but still nothing happens in the left hand panel.
I have my computer connected to my 32" TV and across the room the display is unreadable. It would be good to have a large, easily read "Now Playing" info in the left hand panel, with a good cover-art jpg and full track info.
I usualy end up using Moose but I would prefer Squeezecenter to do the job on its own. Many have said it before - the ui needs improving.

Try Squeezeplay. It emulates the remote interface but has a fullscreen option. I've tried this on my plasma and it looks good. You need good quality artwork however. Makes a nice party display.

Came across this picture I took a while ago. Sorry for the poor exposure.

broadside, I think this is essentially the same request made several years ago. Register on the Bugzilla site, then leave you comments and vote for the enhancement request.
