Is there a way of managing a playlist that you create on the fly? Can you change the order? Delete tracks from the playlist etc?
Also I have had a couple of problems with "timeout" errors. The file fails to play and the timeout error is displayed. If this happens within a playlist, it kills the entire playlist. Is this a bug?

Yes there are, but depends in part what you mean by "on the fly". If you line up a track and press play it will add that track to the "Now Playing" playlist. Depending on your Squeezecenter settings, it will either add just that track or the whole album from which that track is taken (for local music, music services like Napster/Rhapsody can work slightly differently). If you use MusicIP and set up a mix from a seed track, pressing play adds the whole mix to the Now Playing playlist.
For local files, you can add a file to the currently playing playlist by navigating to the track you want to add, and pressing the Add button (short press). This will add it to the end of the currently playing playlist.
Pressing the add button for a long hold will add the local file to play next in the currently playing playlist.
If you want to remove a file from the currently playing playlist, you need to be in "Now Playing" menu, navigate to the song you want to remove and press the add button (short press) which will remove it.
You can't otherwise change the order of tracks from the Duet, but you can do this (and more) from the web interface).
You mention timeouts which makes me think you may be using Music Services rather than local files? Most of these key presses should also work for music services.Who am I on LAST.FM?

Great - that's useful thanks.
I did mean creating playlists using the + button. I didn't know you could delete using this button so that will help if I add the wrong track. I am using SN for this and it works fine.
