    Splitting unbalanced TP outputs

So, I've set-up a system using vertical bi-amping, with the TP directly feeding a pair of power-amps using the unbalanced feeds.

Right now, I've just made up some basic 'Y'-leads as vertical bi-amping means both channels of each amp get the left or right channel from the source.

But I feel that this isn't so good due to impedance mismatches.

Is there a better way of splitting the signals without needing a pre-amp?

Where is the impedance mismatch? Even if the splitter was not properly designed to deliver a 50 ohms net lead result, it would only move 25 ohms (assuming its an audio cable) as far as the cable is concerned. Not like you're changing to 10K ohms with Y leads. Also its the impedance differences in the source equipment to the input equipment that is most important, not specifically the cable (as long as its close to the RCA spec). Besides if you buy the proper Y cable, it is designed to keep it at a 50 ohm RCA spec cable.

Nonsense - line-out RCA connections are not even impedance matched in the first place. It's perfectly OK to use a splitter for this.

It's not a problem. Linn (for example) just daisy chain the outputs on their pre-amps and power amps for multi/active amping... works fine.
You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it ain't what you'd call minimal...
