Change IP / Adapter for SqueezeCenter

    Hi all,

Just purchased a Squeezebox Duet and tried to install SqueezeCenter on an existing Server 2008.

Installation went fine, but I am unable to start Squeezebox Server.
No errors pop up but the diagnostics tab lists the following alert:
"Squeezebox Server is not running, but some application is using the same port (9000)"
The server is running multiple other services, so the above is very likely.

Is there a way to bind squeezecenter to another network adapter or another IP address?
I have tried looking in the server.prefs file and changing "BindAdress" and "AllowedHosts" to an IP address which is not in use by other services.
But it keeps binding to the original IP address.

I have searched the forum with little luck.

    Thanks in advance.

    /Martin

You can use the following command line arguments when you start SC:

    Code:
    --httpaddr <addr> --cliaddr <addr> --playeraddr <addr>

Thanks a bunch for the answer!

I was a bit confused as to how the server was actually started since no service was registered - just squeezetray.exe being called from the startup folder? (this seems to call squeezesvr.exe?)

I tried killing and manually starting squeezesvr.exe with the mentioned command line syntax, but the control panel still reports the server running on the original IP?

I don't have a lot of recent experience running under windows, but there's an entry in the Start menu to create a service for SC (useful if you're not always logged in). You should then be able to edit the command line for the service.
