Qnap TS-119 + SlimServer 6.5.4: is it possible?

I would like to run SlimServer 6.5.4 on a QNap TS-119 NAS disk. Is this possible? I am new NAS but I understand that there is something called SSOTS that installs Squeeze Center 7. Or can SSOTS use my old SlimServer 6.5.4?

Why would you want an old version when your new NAS is capable of running SC7?
Players: Boom, SB3. iPod Touch w/ iPeng 1.2
    Server: QNAP TS-239 w/ SSOTS 3.18, SS 7.3.3, MusicIP 1.8, 8k+ tracks
    (formally running SS 6.3.1 on a QNAP TS-101 streaming to a SB1)

Why should I use SC7 when I already have a Squeezebox and PC running Slimserver 6.5.4 without any problems? I have something that works and I really doesnt care of "having the latest". Of course, if the new versions have functionallity I want I will update. The point is, I have SS 6.5.4 running on a PC and now I would like my NAS disk to run the same version. The only thing I have to do is to change the IP address the Squeezebox is communicating with. Does SC 7 offers any "goodies" over 6.5.4?

SC7.3.3 is light years infront and erystable now after months & months of beta testing. Installing it with SSOTS 3.18 is now so easy on Qnaps, it almost auto installs itself...........

    Ssots 3.18

If you decide to go ahead with SC 6.5.4, be aware that SSOTS 3.18 has dropped support for SC 6.x

    http://oinkzwurgl.org/ssods_downloads

You will need to get hold of an earlier version - 3.15, 3.16 or 3.17

I get the idea of not upgrading s/w on existing hardware if you are happy with the s/w. But when you are refreshing your hardware it's actually riskier to run old version of software.
