I use a program called miniLyrics to view song lyrics on my PC. It was a free download from Crintsoft and I have been impressed with it. Does anyone know if miniLyrics (or any other lyrics "generator") is compatible with the Duet so song lyrics can be seen on the Duet display?

You can still find it under the Squeezeplay Applets in the wiki, it is just rather old and I don't know if it still works. There was a repository once for this appletwith probably a newer version, but the link to it is dead now.

A lyrics display applet for the controller should really be done again by some nice guy or even Logitech (for Lyricwiki.org for example), I am not able to unfortunately.

There is indeed a plugin called Lyrics. Tried quite some time to get it to work but never really succeeded - even tried a fresh install on my QNAP TS 109 II. It did work in Squeezecenter but unfortunately not on the SBC. To me this would be a killer plugin if it would work properly. Did anyone else get it working? If so, could you please elaborate on how to set it up?

Just another option for you... If you have lyrics in your song tags, they can be accessed by going into song info, then choosing Lyrics. I use a program called TagRunner which does a pretty good job of finding and tagging lyrics. For the ones it doesn't find, I use Google. It goes pretty quick with the link bar in J River Media Center.

FYI, the Lyrics applet works for me. I have to reload it every time I upgrade, but so far it's still available.

GeeJay is right, it is still available (I used this repository URL: http://open-net.vm.bytemark.co.uk/lyrics_repo.xml).
Just remember that once you added the repository URL in the Extension Downloader page you have to select and install it directly on the Controller under Settings->Advanced->Applet-Installer (or a similiar path, as I use German as language).

SignoRossi, you mentioned: "...install it directly on the Controller under Settings->Advanced->Applet-Installer..."
I did all that, the plugin then shows in the Extra's menu, but once selected with middle button, play button or whichever button, nothing happens on the SBC. In Squeezecenter I can actually see the lyrics but really also want them in the SBC. I might be missing something but haven't got a clue what.
I'm running SSOTS 3.16 with Squeezecenter 7.3.3 on a QNAP TS-109 II. Any idea's from someone?

Try running an error log and see if anything shows up from that. I just powered up my SBC specifically to check this out, and it's working fine for me. I'm running 7.3.3 on an XP machine.

Unfortunately I can also only state that 'it works for me', SC 7.3.3 on Ubuntu-8.10 here. Might be an SSOTS specific issue (some perl stuff missing?), try what GeeJay suggested.
