I'm looking to pair a couple of SB Duet receivers with AudioSource AMP 100 amps with auto power on and off. Anybody doing this? Any issues/concerns? Does the receiver kick out enough voltage to turn on such amps and keep them on? Any low volume shut-off issues? TIA!!

I use the Audiosource amp with an SB3/Classic and it works great. You have to use input 2 (as I recall) - the other input is like an "over-ride" but switches back quickly with low volume. The SB3 has plenty of volume to kick-on the autosensing (unless it's turned way down). I'm sure the SB Receiver will work fine as well.

I've used both an SB2 and an SB Receiver with my Amp100 and it works fine. Like tcutting says, just make sure to use input 2.

As an alternative there's a british company that makes a duet reciever with amplifier built-in - they also sell it as a bundle with controller included...

I would snap up a model like this as long as it supported two pairs of speaker outputs. I currently use a 25 year Yamaha receiver and a Duet for my outdoor patio setup http://forums.slimdevices.com/showpo...&postcount=588

I personally think there a bit pricey, a receiver can be had for £80 and the audiosource amps work out at £60 (not that you can get them in UK easily)total price £140, ok so £60 not a huge premium but if you are doing 5 zones its a god chunk of cash!

You can try the Parasound Zamp V3 self sensing amps but they are a bit pricey (~$349). I have one and I like it.
