So i've been using squeezebox now for a week and i love it!!! i mean talk about rediscovering my music. using the controller is awesome. i am going to be quickly rolling it out to other areas of my home. there are so many things i love there are too many to list:
- crossfade
- random music creation
- album art
- integration with internet music streams/podcasts

much like many of you, i use and love winamp. the visualations, plugins, skins, the way it organizes and allows you to search and play music, etc... so now i am using the squeezecenter web front end and winamp at the same time. i am beginning to see that i only use winamp in a very limited fashion (only to accept mp3 stream from squeezeboxserver and not to browse/select media).

so i've posted the following plug-in request to use winamp to emulate squeezecenter. not sure if anything will come of this but i think this greatly enhances the functionality of squeezebox.
