    Default SC Setting for REPEAT?

[Apologies - I initially posted this in the DUET forum by mistake...]

    SqueezeCenter Version: 7.3.2 - 24695 under Vista
    2 x SB3s, wireless, WPA2, in sync.
    Controller 7.3 r3993

Is there a default setting option for "Repeat" somewhere?

I habitually have it set in SC to OFF; I set it to ALL last week for a few hours, and then set it back to OFF. However, every time I now re-boot and re-start SC it's set to ALL for both SBs and Controller. I'd like the default to be OFF, as normal.

    Odd.

The default repeat mode for _new_ players is ON. Makes no sense to most people, but someone decided that this is how it should be.

But once you've changed the repeat mode to a certain state for a given player, it should be remembered for that player, even across reboots and restarts of SqueezeCenter. Any chance that your slimserver.prefs file isn't being saved for some reason (although I don't know if SC will even run in that case)?

Thanks: the problem now seems to have cleared up. I think it may have been something to do with my new Controller. If you use Controller to alter the repeat settings on an SB it seems to alter the default rather than just the current setting...... Or maybe it was because I hadn;t noticed that the default repeat setting on the new Controller was itself ON.

Either way, defaulting Controller repeat to OFF seems to have cleared things up.

I love my Controller, but it does presently have some strage quirks both as regards itself and the rest of an existing system.

    Hello,

may I ask where to set this "off", I've been searching for it through all menu in SC & just can't find it (must be blind or something...).

    I have the SB3 classic.

Oops, sorry found it, not in SC though, only with the SB remote.

They're in the settings menu (Préférences?).

That is bad news. I once left a song playing and left the apartment. I came back several hours later pretty late at night with the music still playing. I felt bad for my roommates.

No more. We changed that a few weeks back.
