Hiya,
Two queeries that I'm in need of help with, please.
I updated to 7.3.2 a couple of days ago, found that when browsing the album list, artist etc. the first letter of a number button, eg. number 2 is ABC, is acted upon, A is acted upon, but the second and third B and C, are ignored no matter how hard I press the buttons, so to get to albums begining with b and c I have to press A and then use the down arrow to scroll through all A albums first to then get to the B's - A right pain!
The second thing I noticed with the new 7.3.2 when looking for a particular album it was not listed..? however, when serching for a track on the album the track is found with the album in the information attached to the track...?? all tracks are there when searched for but the album remains unfound?
Much appreciate any pointers
Oh just tried 7.3.3 same thing?
Many thanks

Just tried on mine and pressing the same # advances the alphabet as you want. I'm running 7.4 and by the way thanks, I never knew it did that. You would have thought I would accidentally found that before now.
If the rule you followed brought you to this, of what use is the rule.

Oh! glad I could be of assistance in hepling you with your SB operation

saves a bit of time if it works!
I'll give 7.4 a go, ta.
Mind you today, the ABC etc buttons seemed to work intermittently...not running in an ABC sequence but in an ABABABCABAB sequence..?? confused!
Ahha I also found the missing album its number 1 in the album list when listed alphabetically, when it should be in the C's and not before the 1's...??
It begins with C and it was with the C's before I upgraded...?? confused!
Much appreciate any pointers.
Cheers

In 7.3.3 is it also working as expected. You should better go with this version which is almost stable.
2 * Classic, 2 * Boom, SC 7.8 auf GigaByte STA/C mit VIA C7 1GHz, 1GB RAM, 250 GB 2,5" HD, Ubuntu Desktop 8.04 LTS, controlled by Squeeze Commander on Motorola Xoom, CD -> FLAC = dbpoweramp, Mix MusicIP, Router AVM Fritz 3270

Deaf Cat,
If you haven't tried the Lazy Search plugin, I heartily recommend you give it a go. It enables predictive text and makes finding albums, artists and other things a breeze. I would never go back to the regular search function.

I understand only too well where you are coming from.

May I also recommend Album Catalog Creator, which is a great aide-memoire for the contents of one's music collection...

Cool
I've often wondered how to print a list out.
