SqueezeControl for Android announcement and support thread

I am using an Xperia X10 Mini and would love to use SqueezeControl. However, it isn't available as download for my device. Smaller screen is most probably the issue. If you need more testers, count me in !!

Guys, I do not think the small screen is the issue. I just downloaded the app to my girlfriends X10 Mini Pro yesterday, and it works perfectly. I don't have it at hand right now, but I guess I could post the latest .apk later if that is of interest.

Hi there,I have x10 mini pro and the app works pretty good. I have spotify premium and use it via squeezebox now the problem I have is that it dont work as i want while using squeezecontrol. The thing that happends is that i get stuck in the loadingscreen while trying to load playlist or search artist or whatever.

Any clues?

Great idea, this app, truly great. Thanks to third-party developers, like Triode (who did the Spotify client) and you Dag, the SB is moving on...

However, I have one issue with the app on my HTC Desire, as of yesterday running Froyo, I get no track info, no artwork, no artist name, no song name... I get all of that both in the Duet Controller and in SBS (7.5.1) itself. Other than that, the SqueezeController seems fully functional, I can adjust volume, skip track etc.

Is there something I have to enable somewhere to get song info shown?

Hi great Android app, works really fast and reliable.

I would like to be able to suspend and wake the receiver. Otherwise I still need to get the original squeezebox controller to turn off/on the receiver.

I have the same problem on my X10 miniPro and the play list just says 'Loading...' for all tracks.
All the controls work tough, play, skip,...

I can start playing tracks from the play list but since there is no song info it becomes a little bit to random for me. ;-)

'Test CLI port' works (obviously) but when I try the 'Test HTTP port' it says: Something seems to respond at <address removed> but it does not seem to be a SqueezeCenter installation.

I assume there is some parsing error of the data over the HTTP port.

I'm using server Version: 7.5.1 - r30836 @ Tue Jun 1 06:02:45 PDT 2010

Actually, the song info works but only when the play list contains local files, no artwork though. :-D

When the play list contains Spotify links/tracks the song info does not work.

What a great application for my x10 miniPro.

Hi!

Great app! It works like a charm.. except for this:

Just added spotify plugin, which is genius!!! It works really well with the Duet controller, but it doesn't work with the squeezecontrol app.

I can browse the spotify-lists and everything, but when I get into a list or album, the song isn't listed as a song, but an empty folder(or something like that).


Anyone experience the same problem? Please help with this.. This combination, Spotify, Squeezebox, Android would be perfect !!!

OK, that could be my problem as well. I never use SBS for anything but Spotify through Triodes plugin. So when I say that "song info doesn't show" I mean that song info doesn't show for the Spotify plugin...
