Hi there,
I am having my Music scan terminated unexpectedly during the Artwork Scan. This is happening on 7.4-26103 but I saw it on the last couple of nightlies I ran as well. I did a search of the forum and found this problem twice before. One related it to Virus Scanning (I don't run a virus scanner on my WHS) and the other suggested that you should clear the cache, which I have done to no avail. I don't think this is related to my early problems starting SC (which are now solved) as I saw this before those occured. The log is at http://www.toppy.org.uk/~chunkywizar...ox/scanner.log. I scanned three times and each time it has terminated early, on a different cover each time. The scan used to work on earlier builds of 7.4 (i'm afraid I can't remember exact version numbers)
Any Ideas?

Unable to Process JPEG image on 7.4-26103

At first glance, this looks to me like a corrupted JPEG image (either a defective one, or one accidentally labelled ".jpg" which is actually a PNG or some other image type).
Unfortunateley, the SC log doesn’t tell the file name or whether its inside a tag or a separate image file (like folder.jpg).
I’m a little unsure where you can switch on logging the filename, you might want to try setting "Settings -> Advanced -> Logging" to "Debug" for "scan", "scan.import" and "scan.scanner".
Then stop SC, empty the artwork cache (usually C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SqueezeCenter\Cache\Artwork\ on Win/XP machines), start SC again.
Then try again (doing a full rescan) and check the log.
If it shows the name of the file(s) in question, try to manually repair (or delete, or replace) the faulty image.Last edited by Moonbase; 2009-04-21 at 02:37.

Thanks for the ideas. I could actually remember all 3 of the jpgs that the scan stopped at so I reworked those three and the scan completed! They all displayed correctly in windows but I re saved them in GIMP and re embedded them in the mp3s and everything seems fine. If I have any issues again I will use your suggestion. Thanks
