    Development standstill?

I have noticed the 7.3.3 builds and 7.4 builds have not changed in quite a while from this site:

    http://update.slimdevices.com/update/firmware/

Is this still a valid nightly site?

Is everything in Slim Devices land still good or has Logitech been swinging axes? Let's hope not!

You are looking in the wrong place. Nightly builds are here:

Development is most assuredly not at a standstill. far from it.

Occasionally we do architectural changes that result in things being fairly broken from a user standpoint, so much so that it's not even worth pushing out beta firmwares during that period. If we did, it will cause much hand-wringing and teeth-gnashing, even from the most resilient of early adopters.

For example, we've done a complete refactoring of the skin code that delivers the UI for the controller. That work is not yet done.

    cheers,

    Slightly OT...
Is it possible to update controller FW while running 7.3.3 Squeezecenter? I am not ready to jump into 7.4, but would like to try out controller upgrades... especially is the headphone switching issue has been addressed at all (my controller is on the 3993 firmware).

No point afaik, the improved (not 100% yet ) headphone switching in 7.4r4154 is replaced by an interesting stuttering issue that you don't want to hear.

But the rebooting is much better, it happens so seldom with 4154 that they almost got away with it, but it rebooted yesterday , naughty.

    You can upgrade anyway:

    http://update.slimdevices.com/update/firmware/7.4/

download "jive_7.4_r4154.bin" rename to jive.bin put it on an SD stick and "upgrade from SD.." in the upgrade menu in controller.
