I just noticed if you turn your remote upside down - the small speaker you see is also a magnet. It attracts pins like a magnet! Not sure why! It does not impact its functionality in any way but Iam curious!
I just found it out accidentally. Does your remote work the same way too?

Duet Remote - A magnet too??
A megnet is a common component of a speaker:

In most modern applications where the speakers are for computer use, the
housing that surrounds a speaker is magneticcally shielded to reduce this
effect as magnetic fields can ruin older CRT monitors.

So never place the SBC onto your credit card ... it might erase the magnetic stripe.

This field is very weak, if they opted for a more powerful magnet/speaker one could have hanged the SBC on the fridge while being in kitchen but it's to weak i tried.. :-)
