I have configured my morning alarm to play Sugercube as a Dynamic Playlist.
It works really well, except that it always seems to stop after a few songs (around 6 tracks).
I can make a MusicIP playlist from the last track played from the Sugercube dynamic playlist, and get 50 songs.
I have configured all of the MusicIP settings to be the same, including MusicIP settings, Player MusicIP settings, Spicefly settings, etc. I have Style=160, Variety=2. I have a filter to only play songs rated greater than 3, or unrated.
How do I debug this to see why it stops adding songs after a few tracks?
Phil

Enable debug logging on Dynamic Playlist and SugarCube and post the log after it stopped adding tracks. I think you will see the error in the SugarCube log entries.
Dynamic Playlist asks SugarCube for the next track and if it doesn't return one the Dynamic Playlist plugin interpret this as the end of the playlist and stops adding tracks.
I've seen issues like this when non ascii characters are part of the file names, could this be the cause ?
Does it work if you start SugarCube manually instead of launching it through a dynamic playlist ?Erland Isaksson (My homepage)

I think it probably is.
It stopped again this morning. The last track that was played had a track title with an ampersand "&" in it.
I wasn't running with the required trace settings though. I'll try to catch another occurance of the problem.

Spicefly Sugercube via DynamicPlaylist
Same here. Plugins DynamicPlaylist, CustomBrowse and SugarCube installed. I think it doesn't matter if DynamicPlaylist is installed or not.
I started a test with a song with a '&' in the filename (in this case: the directory!) and indeed, no new song was added to the playlist, it just stopped after the first song.
The server.log ('debug mode' set for DynamicPlaylist, SugarCube and MusicIP) says:

There are no problems with characters like é, í, ä. But the character '#' (like in 'Radio #1.flac') is causing the same problem as the ampersand.
