album/artist listing in Duet wrong, in SC is fine

Can't get this to work right.

Example in Duet controller: under artist/albums I get all the albums the artist has written a song for - even if the name Lennon isn't written as "artist" in the tagging. I want only the artist's own albums to appear (tags "artist" and "album artist" are the same for each album on all my tags) .

Specific example:
I have 12 albums with "John Lennon" tagged as the "artist" and "album artist" in my collection.

In the Duet, the Artist/Album listing for Lennon has about 40 albums, b/c it includes every album in my collection with at least one song credited to Lennon as composer. This happens with the setting "composer" (in Settings>Behavior) both on and off. I know this is what is happening,b/c in the song listings for the "other non John Lennon" albums, the only songs that appear under the "Artist" John Lennon version of the album listing, are the ones with a Lennon credit.

In Squeeze Center, under John Lennon only the correct 12 albums appear. How can I get the Duet to display the albums the way they are displayed in SC?

I am having the same issue. In SC under artist Jimi Hendrix I have 5 albums listed. Four are Jimi Hendrix albums and one is a compilation album where he is listed as the artist on one track. On the controller under artist Jimi Hendrix I have 12 albums listed. The same 5 that SC lists and 7 others where he is listed as COMPOSER. How do I stop the controller from including COMPOSER?? BTW, SoftSqueeze also lists everything correctly. It is just the controller that is messed up.

I am running the released version of 7.3.3 and the controller has been upgraded to the 7.3.3 firmware.

The only way I solved it was by eliminating composer tags and unchecking all 3 options in SC behavior tab - the question about do you want composer info used?

I also listed artist and album artist as identical tags.

Then do a full rescan

I don't have a behavior tab. Do you mean the 'Music Library' tab? If so those three options are unchecked and always have been. I have an 18,000+ library and don't want to go through all the tracks to clear the composer tag for what is obviously a SC bug. I would think that it would be a fairly easy change to an SQL statement but from what I can see it was reported at least 6 months ago.

Yes and no. I am having the problem on the controller and not SqueezePlay. I use SoftSqueeze and that is working fine.
