That's really good news. I think you need to make that more apparent to people.
When will the remote be available?

Back-lit Infrared Remote
Thanks for your help.
It is the Back-lit Infrared Remote that I'm after, and I need to get it to England.
I'll email the chap at the above address.

Costs for UK Backlit Remote + IR Blaster
OK,
I ordered as per Matts instructions.
Remote was as per US pricelist - conversion to GBP was a credit card rate.
Shipping via UPS was free.
Duty estimated in UK - was £3.17. I also bought an IR Blaster.
The crunch is Duty was by Cash on Delivery - UPS charge £11.00 as brokerage fee. I think this is reasonable, especially as shipping was free.
Delivery was trackable all the way !!

Any updates on Classic Remote availability for 2010? The Logitech site does not sell this remote. Or can I just use the Touch remote as a substitute?

The Touch remote is a very good substitute for the Classic. I like the slightly smaller size a lot better, but it retains the alphanumeric keys that are so useful for fast browsing and searching. However, the Touch remote does not have a Brightness button, which is used for firmware updates on the Classic. So if you haven't already done so, you should change your Classic to accept firmware updates automatically. It's in the firmware settings that you can access by pressing and holding the left arrow button. Fyi, the Touch remote also doesn't have a "Size" button.

For future reference, Ripcaster in the UK sell SB accessories, including ir remotes. They claim despatch within 24 hours: https://www.ripcaster.co.uk/node/483
£29.62 (not sure whether it includes delivery).

Ripcaster is selling a "Back lit IR Remote Control for Squeezebox Touch, Squeezebox 3 Classic, Squeezebox Boom, Squeezebox Radio." What unit was this remote originally meant for? And does it have the Brightness / Size buttons noted above? (Can't tell from the very small pic available on the Ripcaster website.)
