Hello,
I have just updated the controllers firmware to 7.3 r3476 and although everything is working great I have one small, but irritating problem.
When I choose the option to change player, I get the screen where I can select the controller or receiver. Sometimes, while watching this screen it starts connecting to the receiver without me having pressed a button. Also, when I select the controller and after using it select back to receiver, I tries to connect to the receiver but NEVER succeeds! So I hit the back button and do it it again and then it works.
Are there peeps having the same isue? Are there any fixes?
Thnx in advantage.

I was connected to squeezecenter while this is happening..
How can I update the software any further? When I go to software-update under settings it only tells me 'cancel' heheh
thnx for the fast reply btw.
edit: I fixed that 'cancel' message by change the setting for auto-update in the squeezecenter. Though now I only have the option to install version r3476 again..Last edited by Loek Rots; 2009-02-05 at 15:00.

try this
1) Power off your controller
2) Shut down SqueezeCenter
3) Restart SqueezeCenter
4) Power on your controller
5) you should be prompted for new firmware
IF you are not, check the Cache folder and delete the Jive.Version and Jive.Bin files
The cache folder can be in a variety of locations depending on your OS. Typically at \\...\SqueezeCenter\Cache folder
Linux = /var/cache/slimserver/
Ubuntu = /var/lib/squeezecenter/cache
OSX 10.x.x = /Library/Caches/SqueezeCenter
Windows XP = C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SqueezeCenter\Cache (Note: Application Data is a hidden folder)
Windows Vista = c:\ProgramData\SqueezeCenter\Cache\
NOTE: Application Data & ProgramData directory(s) are hidden, you will need to display hidden directories to see them.
Let me know what that doesJames R.
