High resolution support in Squeezeslave would be a very important feature for me too.

You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it ain't what you'd call minimal...

I would really love to see high res support in Squeezeslave.
My target is: fitpc (tiny atom based fanless pc), install headless Ubuntu and Squeezeslave. Connect to asynchronous USB DAC. Play 24/192 flac.

You can do this today with VortexBox 1.9 (headless; built on Fedora 14) and VortexBox Player, a Squeezeslave alternative that plays high-res output:
