    Error: Missing Firmware

I have installed squeezecenter 7.2.1 on my Buffalo linkstation pro and I had no problems. I can log in and use it as planned and also connect to it with duet and play music from it as well as internet radio.

How ever my duet controlloer keeps spamming me with "Error: Missing Firmware Server can't connect ot internet to obtain firmware update" - how can i get it to stop with this?

I am pretty sure its because squeezecenter is saying there is a newer version availible but i have installed using IPKG and its not ready there yet. So how can disable the highly annoying message that takes up half the display almost all the time? - or is it the controller that i have to update? (How can i see if it is)

Thanks in advance for any help - I should be able to run with another version than the newest without my display being ruined by constant error message spamming right? hehe

SqueezeCenter is trying to download the appropriate firmware update for the Controller from the SlimDevices server. It can't, so it can't update to the right firmware for that server version. Hence the error message.

Server and firmware versions are tied together as changes in one could very well require changes in the other. Running un-matched versions is not supported.

You should either fix your linkstation so it can get internet access, or download the right firmware for that SqueezeCenter version and put it in the cache directoty for it to push out to the Controlller.

Ok thanks for the reply - the wierd thing is that the linkstation is connected to the internet - downloaded the squeezecenter directly on it. But perhaps the controller has newer version and it cant update it because of that?

Anyway i will try and download the matching firmware and push it on to the controller later tonight - hope i can figure out how hehe.
