Does the IR port on the Duet Remote work yet?

I posted this on the Duet forum but that forum seems fairly dead so I'll retry here.

If it is working what can be done with it?

Well, it works in the sense that it can mimic the IR remote of the SB classics and Transporter. Could be useful for someone who lost their IR remote, especially for pressing the "Brightness" key to update firmware. Beyond that I don't know of anything that has been developed yet.
