    softsqueeze no radio

I've got 7.3.1 installed, and just been trying to play radio using softsqueeze. There is no sound on many stations (BBC, Planet Rock).

I can pick these up no problem on the SB3.

I have no problems with softsqueeze accessing and getting sound from my music library.

System is on XP Pro - 7.3.1 with BBC iPlayer and Weathertime plugins installed.

    Any ideas ?

    Chris

Are these WMA streams ? Then it won't work. Mp3 streams should work properly.

Softsqueeze should be able to play WMA streams on Windows as there is default decoder which will do the transcoding. There is no default WMA support on OSX or Linux.

    No Radio on Softsqueeze

    Hi,

I got a similar problem. I decided to install a separate SC on my son's PC, enabling him to stream his own stuff to the rest of the house without 'bothering' my pc....

His SC (7.3.1)/SoftSqueeze 3 combo does not show the category 'Radio Stations', except for the 'Tune in URL' option, and this Tune In option does not work either...

If I try to 'trick' the system by playing radio on a Receiver, and try to sync the SoftSqueeze, both systems halt (i.e. no radio to be heard).

My other PC is just working fine 'n dandy, on the same software, why oh why?

    Cheers,

    Scrunch

Me too - can't play BBC stations on Softsqueeze at 7.3.1 (24282) on my Windows XP SP3 system but they work OK on my Duet and Boom. I get 'problem:unable to play file type'. Squeezecenter is running on my QNAP 209 under SSOTS.

    Regards Alex

    softsqueeze no radio

I found that Softsqueeze plays live streams with the AlienBBC plugin but not with the BBC iPlayer plugin. It will play on demand streams with the iPlayer plugin.
