Ok, here we go for Applets.

On a daily basis on my Controller I use

Album Flow (erland)
Weather Forecast (me)
and
Screen Switcher (erland)

to make a nice toggling Screensaver (normal Logitech Clock, Weather, Album Flow) to impress all my guests, when they look at the Controller in the Cradle.

I also successfully used
Patch Installer (erland)
once on my Radio to install a patch manipulating the brightness settings.

I can also confirm that
Custom Clock (erland)
works nicely and hand in hand with the Weather Forecast and many other Applets.

Cannot comment on Bens Applet as I don't know how to test it, but can verify that he is a reputable developer, that knows the Squeezeplay LUA code very well. So (just based on trust) I'd give him a half vote

Whoops I realised I have started this as a new thread when maybe I should have just posted here. Apologies if this is against the rules.
Anyway my suggestion was a plugin to make files sound like they are being played on vinyl by addition of appropriate distortion and noise.

I'd love that plugin! Would use it with my audiophile snobby friends, maybe even do a an A/B test, with A being the "vinyl" version (I'd have to pretend to fiddle with the turntable). When they talked about the wonderful warmth of vinyl I'd point out that, really, it's all just distortion and noise. Which it's all right to like, but let's call a spade a spade.

Yes, someone, get on this please.
