I don't think SS offers this customisation, but here's what I would like.

When browsing albums by a single artist, only track title is shown. ie
Dido\1. Life For Rent

But when browsing various/compilation it shows more detail.
Best of 90's\2-15 Bat Out of Hell (Meat Loaf)

And when playing in Random mix (entire collection, genre, year or any other apart from artist-only random mix) it displays full details.
Bat Out of Hell (Meat Loaf)

But when playing random mix from one artist it displays (since you know you're random mix Meat Loaf no need to display it on now playing)

Thought of something else.

Have a dedicated directory for new music, and a another re-scan option. That way it'll only scan that directory. Useful if you've got a couple of new albums and want to listen to them quickly (without using music folder option)
