My SB3 whacked by 24270 ?

Hi i installed 24270 and my old trusty SB3 started exhibit some pretty bizzare behavior.

I was partly controllable trough the controller, most of the display was dead (some menus shown some blank ) mostly unresponsive to the IR remote ?

I did the Xilink reset and it got worse, i sometime managed to play music trough it ? with partly working screensavers ? now it its sits there with an blank display, pressing arrows show nothing only a blank screen !
That until I press the left arrow long enough to get to setup.

While playing (when i managed that via SBC) it sometimes show the samll spectrum screensaver without the song title ? the song title comes back breifly if i press pause on ir remote ? most other comands likes arrows are not doing anything visible..


I discovered that it is working just perfect with SqueezeNetwork, i can use both controller and ir remote without hiccups, no problems at all when playing trough SN.

So i'm just now removing cache and rebuild dB lets see how that works out.

Btw the player can be seen by SC but it wont show its wirelless strength row ? like the other players.

Just now on swithing back to SC it is just stuck on the "Connecting to SqueezeCenter" screen and nothing happens.

Btw now the SBC reports my player as "nil" which canot conect...

Any idea where to start faultracing ? to symptoms are to many to get me a clear idea on where to start ?

I will probably try to downgrade this afternoon i must go to work now..
so i'm not able to respond in until then.

You may wish to try disabling all plugins before you go through the trouble to downgrade. A broken or incompatible plugin has been known to cause all sorts of problems.

And now back on 7.3 24245 and everything is working just fine again ?
I think i had 259 before the crash but i'm not shure so i backed off 2 days.

More data:
It was not possible to choose between SN and SC with SBC or SC whith 24270 i had to use the setup meny in my SB3 to do that

The newest 24282 is just as bad it wont work either

Btw i don't use many 3:rd party plugins I removed the few i had, i did not do any difference:

Alien BBC shadowplay and RetroBrowser, i kept powerctrl

Confirmed that 7.3 24259 is working.

Is the last one working with an SB3 on a ClarkConect 4.2 server.

24270 and 24282 is not possible to use.

Please keep beta 24259 on the server after you release 7.3 if I try any never version i want to able to revert to a working version without the need to back down to 7.2.2 .

If anyones interested what information do you want from me ?

The official 7.3 release does not work either.

Same issues:

SC can't discover SB3 correctly (consequently SBC has problems to find it ).

IR control partly broken pause works not arrows etc.

Display mostly broken, it's completely black most of the time.

Reverting to 24159 fixes it again.

I'll give you my latest server log, it might be a little confused as several reinstalls of different versions is present and one bad start after i reverted to 259 (amazon crashed).

Did you remove _all_ 3rd party plugins to test without them?

Ok removed PowerCtrl my last 3.rd party plugin.

Discovered that Alien had left preferences in the prefs folder removed this to.

Installing 7.3 official release again and....

No :-( same problems, same stuff in the log

No third party stuff afiak

I could be forced to make a completely clean install (if you put your thumb in my eye ) to see if this helps, then my prefs will go etc, I've copied my prefs folder ? if I put it back after a clean install will my player names and settings be ok again ?
