Hi can anyone help fix Alien BBC, it seems to have stopped finding programs this week, this includes live and listen again programs. Have just copied files from IplayerV5 from post #133 and pasted into the addon folder but still no joy :-((

Known problem - BBC have changed their website which has brken the AlienBBC iPlayer menu parsing. I am working on update.
If you have latest version of AlienBBC installed then you will have a menu called "Alternative Listen Again" - this provides access to iPlayer program through an XML interface and is still working.
If you are in the UK you should also consider using the BBCiPlayer plugin as it provides better audio and uses the XML interface and so it is not affected by BBC website changes.

Hi there,
Could this be the issue I am experiencing? I have just installed Alien BBC today, and have had no luck. I can see it in the SqueezeCenter Plugin settings, but when I click on the AlienBBC settings button I get a screen that says web page cannot be found.
On my squeezebox I don't even see a link to AlienBBC (should this be under Internet Radio or Extras?)
Thanks in advance.

Probably apply the updated files from below and then see if it fixes the problems. First check that you can play live streams as these should work if AlienBBC has been installed properly.
No AlienBBC entry under Internet Radio usually means a bad install.

If you have a bad install - give details on your SC version, OS, version of AlienBBC installed, how installed etc.

Thanks for your help.
Where can I check if I can play live streams?
Anyway, for installation, I downloaded the Zip file and expanded it and it placed it in my squeezeCenter Plugins folder. My settings are as follows:
SqueezeCenter Version: 7.2.1 - 23630 @ Tue Oct 21 07:44:57 PDT 2008 - Windows Vista - EN - cp1252
Perl Version: 5.8.8 MSWin32-x86-multi-thread
MySQL Version: 5.0.22-community-nt
Platform Architecture: 586
Hostname: Photostore
Total Players Recognized: 1
PLUGIN_ALIENBBC (v2.2b1-7.1_7.2) PLUGIN_ALIENBBC_DESC
Settings
I also unzipped the update that you provided.
I have tried restarting my PC and it didn't resolve this issue.
:O) cheers

You have installed the plugin in the wrong directory. The update will only work if you a working AlienBBC.
You should use the installer and not the zip file.
1. Stop SC.
2. Delete the AlienBBC directory you just installed.
3. Download and run the installer found here
http://www.x2systems.com/alienbbc/Al...b1_7.1-7.2.exe
4. Do the mplayer test when requested.
5. Restart Windows as sometimes Windows caching affect AlienBBC plugin updates.
6. Start SC if not already started.
7. Make sure you have an AlienBBC menu item under Internet Radio.

Thanks for your help. I must have been half asleep when I installed this as I missed your line where you offered the executable install package. Works a treat now.
Once again, a thousand danke's
