Problem with 7.2.1 starting (Mac OSX 5)

An hour ago I had the previous version (6.?.?) of SqueezeCenter up and running and was looking at the interface on my browser (Firefox) getting ready to stream to my media player.
I noticed that there was an update (7.2.1) so I decided to download it.
After getting confirmation that it had installed successfully, the control box appeared and I clicked "Start Server". It grayed out for a brief moment, then "Stop Server" became an active button.
However unlike with the past versions of SqueezeServer and SlimServer, the "Web Access" button never changed from being 'grayed out' to active.
After not being able to view the SS interface in my browser, I noticed that the "Start Server" button was now active once again.
So it's trying to start, but then turning off.
Is there a fix for this, or is this version incompatible with Mac OSX 5.x?
If I can, I'd be happy to uninstall this and reinstall my previous version which worked fine.

I'm running 7.2.1 on osx 10.5.5 with no problems. I'd suggest you uninstall all traces of squeezecenter (in library-application support and in user-library-application support and in user-library-cache folder.)

then re-install 7.2.1. It should then work.

Thanks for the good advice. Did you install Squeezecenter as an update to Slimserver by chance? I'm guessing not.
The reason that I say this is that I replaced Slimserver with Squeezecenter in the form of an update on two Macs (one running OSX 10.5.5; the other running 10.4.11). In both cases, after the prompt said installation was successful, Squeezecenter became inoperable. I'm guessing that some traces of Slimserver left behind were interfering w/Squeezecenter.
I removed all traces of both that I could find, and installed the latest version of Slimserver (rollback), which had worked fine, w/no problems on those Macs in the past. Sure enough, it works fine.
I'm not sure that I want to attempt Squeezecenter installs again (don't fix it if it ain't broke), unless there are significant advantages to the new over the old. I use mine for wirelessly streaming internet radio and my iTunes library to a media player that's hooked up to my home stereo system.
Are there any advantages to the new over the old that I'd be missing?
