No Music Found in Scan

I have migrated over to a new PC over the weekend.

I was previously on an XP machine but have moved across to a Vista Home Premium one with Service Pack 1 installed. I have installed SC to run at startup as a service.

I've put the music in the 'Public Music' folder in Vista and even set it to be shared with all users if that was actually necessary.

I installed SC7.2.1 and got the players up and running so thay can play internet radio stations and Alien BBC perfectly. However, I cannot get scanner to find any of my music. I even updated to the latest nightly (7.3.24158) but with no joy at all. I have not changed any of the default settings for file types.

Can someone please advise in fairly simple terms as I have browsed through the forums hoping to see some similar posts before having to ask this and some of the answers are a bit over my head?
