Hi all,
i did search but could not find an answer to my question.. So if anyone can help, would be appreciated!
In Squeezecenter, the New Music option with the Music Library seems to skip any actual new music that does not have an entry in the Album tag (from iTunes folders in XP) So basically its not part of the New Music playlist.
Frustrating. Is there a fix without having to ad an album within iTunes?
Cheers,
ps sorry if this should be inthe Squeezecentre forum...

I looked before, but because I don't (and have never) use iTunes, I didn't think I could contribute much to this problem.
My first thought though is that it is a sort of bug, but could also be classed as desired behaviour.. SqueezeCenter is album centric so in a way it isn't surprising there are anomalies when it comes to tracks without an album defined.
Is there an entry for "no album" at the start of the list? If there is, this would include all the new music that doesn't have an album. SqueezeCenter would treat this as one large album, so it would be at the top whenever you add tracks without a defined album.
This is just conjecture as all my music is from albums and correctly tagged

Songs that have no album tag appears under an album called "No Album".
This "No Album" album should also appear within New Music. Or at least it does for me, but I use the SC Scanner to read music - you're at the mercy of however iTunes stores music, and how the SC scanner retrieves music from the iTunes API. I can't help much with that aspect.
The SqueezeCenter Browse New Music is not a playlist; I assume that was what you were actually talking about; but perhaps you really did mean a playlist that has been set up in iTunes?

Shouldn't the iTunes "recently added" playlist be part of the playlists imported from iTunes? it is for me. Lokk under "Playlists", not "New Music".

Hey guys,
Yes the Itunes Recently Added playlist does work correctly.
BUT New Music 1 click vs. Playlist -> Recently Added 2 clicks! :-/
My question was aimed at the SC New Music. My new music does not display a "No Album" record...
So not listing a track because the Album Tag is not populated - this can't possibly be desired bahaviour can it???
Thanks for the feedback guys... resolution still out of grasp..
Cheers!
