Squeezecenter will not load in browser

I upgraded to Squeezecenter 7.2.1 tonight and it won't open in a browser. I tried both Firefox and Safari. My operating system is Leopard 10.5.5. I uninstalled all Squeeze/Slim files and reinstalled without any luck. It loads fine in the system prefs, says its running, but it won't open in the browser.

Me and many others seem to have the same problem, could you solve it?
when one tries to set up SqueezeCenter you get the error message in the browser that "...:6000" cannot be reached.
