Also: The servers need to be there because in 1.2 you are supposed to be able to move players between servers using D'n'D, which is especially important for using SN.
I love your Now Playing; I'm not suggesting you change it. I'm just saying that some novice users may never notice the flick left or right and might not intuit how to change servers. If you have redundant server selection choices somewhere fairly obvious, and another way to get to the now playing playlist, it's all good.

It works for me - I'm just trying to make sure my wife can use it without any help.

Thanks for the app - it's very very nice (and fast!)

    Support of Squeezenetwork

    @pippin:

I am sorry if this question has been asked several times before. But are the functionalities of squeezenetwork already support by ipeng (without using SC)? If it is not the case when will the support of SN will be available, especially supporting napster?

    Thanks!

The FUNCTIONALITY of SN should be supported by iPeng if it's run through SqueezeCenter (that is, using "Internet Radio" and "Music Services" through SC). You can NOT, however, run iPeng purely through SN, you will always need SC running.

Version 1.1 is planned to support a direct connection to SN which then will no longer require SC.

I can't talk about Napster, haven't used that myself. Is this available through SC?

The latest build of squeezecenter (Version: 7.3.3 - 25041 @ Wed Feb 18 03:04:36 PST 2009) contains an option to use napster, available in music services.

This should then work with iPeng as well.
Do you know in which regions this is available?

Napster is available in Canada, Germany, United Kingdom, and the United States.

I am using it since yesterday and it works fine. It would be perfect if the time lag between selecting a title (pressing the play button) and starting the wma would be decreased. But this obviously just affects SN...

    Hello,

I just purchased and installed my copy of iPeng. I am pretty happy with it, save for some minor sluggishness when it starts up. Further, I have noticed a few times it does not identify the SB3 which is playing some content.

I have one question, I use the iTunesupdate plugin to rate the songs. I do this by hitting a # on the remote and the SB3 shows the rating. Is there some way the plugins usage can be incorporated?

There is a distinct possibility this may just not happen, but I thought I would ask.

    Thanks,
    G

You have to use the TrackStat plugin along with iTunesupdate.
iPeng will then show the rating on the overlay with the progress bar.

Can't seem to make songs play in Napster

Maybe this a stupid question, but... I can play Napster songs with my SBC but can't seem to figure it out in iPeng. Clicking on the songs I want to listen to just seems to bring me into more menus. How do I get songs to play?

Same as Rhapsody: Use the touch-and-hold gesture on any playable item (album, song etc)
