I noticed that shortly after posting. Thank you for the update, it's great!

I will check out the link you mentioned, which seems to relate to the GUI. I need to figure out how to build the underlying functionality of sending and receiving commands to a TCP/IP socket. If I can do that, then I can interface with a TCP/IP server on the automation system fairly easily. If anyone has any hints, I would love to hear them...

Loving the Ipeng but have a question. My computer is my "server", so which mac address do I add to turn it on through Ipeng settings, the router or the computer mac address, or does this only work if you have a dedicated server?

You need to use your computer's ethernet address.
WOL works by broadcasting packets to all machines and the network card itself identifies the packet as "that's for me" and powers on the computer.
