Can I synchronise playback thru my PC and another room?

Hi

Just installed my squeezebox - LOVE IT! However I'm struggling with a really daft question. Wen I'm using the Squeezecenter web interface, is there a way to use that to play music on my PC either independently from other rooms or in synch? I'm sure it's really obvious and I'm just being daft!

You can sync your physical SBs with a SoftSqueeze instance on your PC - if the SoftSqueeze instance is open and connected to your SqueezeCenter instance, you should see it listed as a player, and all the normal sync functionality applies as if it were a physical piece of hardware.

If you want them to play independently, just unsync them and they can both hit your SqueezeCenter library and play back different content.

You can't use SqueezeCenter itself as a playback mechanism - it's just the server component. That's where SoftSqueeze (soon to be SqueezePlay) comes in.
