Announce: BBCiPlayer Plugin (UK only)

Just tried this on SoftSqueeze, I get:

"ERROR: NO ITEMS FOUND IN PLAYLIST"

...for all stations.

I'll try on my hardware players when I get home.

I can't seem to get the plugin to work.

I installed the latest nightly - SqueezeCenter Version: 7.2.1 - 23323 @ Tue Sep 30 02:02:40 PDT 2008 - Windows XP - EN - cp1252.

Downloaded and extracted the BBCiPlayer .zip to - C\Program Files\squeezeCenter\server\Plugins.

In the web UI > Settings > Plugins, BBC iPlayer (v0.1) is there, and checked, although there are no 'Settings' to play with.

There is nothing under Internet Radio in the web UI, the Controller, or the SB3 display.

Woud appreciate any help.

okay, I'm seeing error messages like this:

in my squid access.log

so it is trying to use the proxy for the stream, but something isn't quite right....

@Philip - no this version of the plugin won't work with 7.3. I need to do another version for that I am afraid.

@Ramage - yes others have seen this error and it was the reason I updated the plugin. Can you confirm that line 159 is " return $class->SUPER::can('isAudioURL') ? $class->SUPER::isAudioURL($url) : undef;"

@elziko - I would expect that error message if you are not using the very latest version of 7.2.1 - can you confirm the version is 23323 or later?

@MattC - I'm afraid it doesn't support proxies configured in SqueezeCenter - I have not added any specific code for proxies and as it bypasses existing code its probably not going to work at present.

@kidstypike - Do you have any other 3rd party plugins installed successfully? If not then I suspect you haven't quite got the files unziped into the right place. Is there a C:\Program Files\squeezeCenter\server\Plugins\BBCiPlayer\Plug in.pm file?

I'd second the request for Categories and Live Streams if that's possible(?)

Not sure if this breaks the BBC's copyright (it probably does) but I've generated an iPlayer icon to tidy up the web & controller interfaces:
