And if I choose either one on my laptop they correctly play. Looks like the parsing of the compatible streams isn't picking out the wma one.
Well the problem is that the plugin is not trying to find the wma one - do you have wma enabled on filetypes? Can you enable player.source debugging and plugin.bbciplayer debugging and post what it says? (check the prefOrder in the debugs you produce with plugin.bbciplayer - if this doesn't include wma then it won't look for wma streams)

This is a squeezebox not a squeezebox 2! It won't support WMA natively. Its name is "Squeezebox 2", but its is not a second generation hardware... Did you buy it from someone?

You can check the hardware type on the information page. But the fact it looks for squeezebox and not squeezebox2 in the formats code means its an older player.

Doh! Really sorry to waste your time helping me out! It seems there aren't very consistent descriptions on line of which version is which.

Glitches in iPlayer output via SB Touch

I'm using the iPlayer applet to both listen live and playback content from last week, and I'm getting glitches in the output. Not a dropout, not a click or pop noises, just a 'hiccup' in the flow.

I was connected wirelessly, with strength 30-40%, so moved the SB Touch closer to the router. Half a metre away, and 100% strength, still had the glitches, so switched to Ethernet, and still got 'em.

SB Server on Win XP machine, connecting to Internut via BT Homehub Broadband Router.

    SB Server - Version: 7.6.0 - r32854 @ Mon Jul 25 10:21:12 PDT 2011
    Firmware: 7.6.0-r9458

    Debugging suggestions welcomed....

I noticed something like this over the weekend.

    I think on Saturday night.

All live channels on iPlayer were playing for about 10 - 15 seconds and then being interrupted for 2 -3 seconds and then picking up where they had left off.

My issues went away on Sunday morning so presumed it was BBC problem.

This has been over weekends and weekdays, and it's nowhere near a 'dropout' as in a period of silence, just a hiccup in the sound

1.8 is the latest version of the applet.
1.2.5 is the latest version of the plugin

    Which are you using ?
